Archbishop Anthony removes Father John

The Archbishop has removed Father John Wadeson from public ministry because of allegations of child molestation in the Los Angeles, California area.

Father John is one of the formators at the RMS on Guam. As much as I know, all I can say is that Fr. John is a really good priest and despite the allegations, I always look forward to his presence.

Even though Fr. John was never found guilty of those accusations I commend the Archbishop for keeping the safety of the faithful as a top priority. Fr. John is basically a formator at the RMS so his public ministry was kept at minimal because of his duties at the seminary.

This is a time for us to continue to pray for our clergy on island.

This will be the first of many posts that I hope to share with readers about my experiences within the Neocatechumenal Way here on the island of Guam. For the sake of not having to type "Neocatechumenal" over and over I will mostly be referring to it as "The Way" or the "NCW"and to set things straight by me referring to it as "The Way" does not mean that it is "The only way".

I will try my best to speak in lay terms and in everyday english, please excuse me in advance if I have some grammatical errors.

Well if you dont know already, the NCW is an itinerary within the Catholic Church. I say itinerary because it is a journey. It is more than a movement or a group that meets regularly during the month. To me, the NCW has brought me to a way of life, a Christian way of life that is.

The NCW was started by Kiko Arguello in Madrid. There is this long story of how it came to be but I will cut it short and just say that the Lord worked his ways and allowed certain experiences to happen in the life of Kiko and today he is one of the three on the Team of Initiators of the NCW. The other two are a former nun, Carmen Hernandez and a priest, Father Mario Pezzi.

I believe this all started in the mid to late 60's but today it is still alive and has been approved by Rome. It has also made its way to my island home of Guam. This is what most of my sharing will be about. My experiences within the NCW here on the Island of Guam.
